Summary of Position:

As a key member of the sales planning team, the Sales Planning Analyst evaluates and identifies trends in sales by analyzing industry data from within the company and from outside sources. With a primary goal to increase the effectiveness of our sales operations, the Sales Planning Analyst will examine company data, review budgets and expenditures, evaluate pricing structures, and compare sales productivity and goals to identify industry trends and help determine ways to improve sales procedures. Important to the success of this role, this individual will develop and nurture strong cross-departmental stakeholder relationships to create, update, and improve the sales analytical forecasts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales Analytics- Develop tools to support sales planning and analysis including:
• Sales performance tracking
• Promotion analysis o Distribution analysis o Trade spending analysis
• Forecasting analysis and support o Gross Margin/pricing analysis
• Opportunity gaps, ROI
• Compile and analyze data over time to forecast sales trends
• Create interactive dashboards via Power Bi or like software to assist with sales analysis
• Review past sales data to determine trends in productivity and profitability
• Prepare accurate reports using data from internal and external sources
• Prepare adhoc reports as needed
• Evaluate third-party data to determine best practices for company success
• Present actionable information and insights to team members and management
• Gather and analyze data to understand problems and address them proactively
• Stakeholder engagement – Sales, Marketing, Demand Planning, Production, and Distribution

Position Requirements:

- A Bachelor’s degree is required, MBA preferred
- 1+ years experience in Sales Planning, Analytics, or related field
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Strong thought-leadership, team management, and coaching skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of products
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to work with key stakeholders across the organization
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Able to travel via car or airplane
- Minimal overnight travel
- Valid driver’s license, drug test, and background check

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
